Summary

     "This Place has no Atmosphere" by Paula Danziger is in the eyes of the main character, Aurora. She's is a 15 year old girl in high school in the year 2057. She has a younger sister named Starr. She also had a group of friends that are named the "Turnips." Her parents are famous NASA scientists that work for the government. Because of this, they live in a very wealthy neighborhood.
      She has this massive crush on this guy named Matthew. He than asked her out to homecoming, she felt as though she was on cloud 9. She also has a best friend named Juna who is filthy rich. Everything is going perfectly fine until her parents come with big news. Her parents decided on take a new job, but it involves moving to the moon. Aurora starts flipping out.

Mood

When I read this book I feel a very anxious mood. It's this persons first day at school and all these thoughts are rushing in her head. I put myself in her shoes to think. I remember how scary it was on the first day of school.

Mood

I feel a very calm and chill mood when I read this book. When I read this book I feel very bubbly because it's like a typical high school scene. This girl in the book has a huge crush on someone and tells you her emotions when talking to the person. It's very heartwarming. I felt skeptical about the story because it's based on the future. I always wonder if this is really how the earth will be later on.

Summary

Aurora is 15 year old girl and a freshman in highschool. So far we're introduced to her best friend Juna and her group friends which are called the "turnips." She's starts talking to herself about how her life would have been different if she haven't been with them. She also mentions how Juna is a celebrity because she was the first child conceived in space. The only reason Aurora was ever included in the "turnips" in the first place is because her house was in the neighborhood. Her parents aren't even that rich either, they got offered the beautiful house because they work with the government. Aurora also has this huge crush on this guy named Matthew. He's around 6ft, with brown curly hair, gray eyes, and long eyelashes. He's also a senior at the highschool. So far, she explains that her highschool experience is going well.

Exposition

A dragon named Moon was born with an incredible power to read minds. Her mom keep her a sceret from birth up until five years of age. Moon's mom finally sends her to a school, in Jade Mountain. The Jade Mountain school is on the side of the mountain, carved into a cave. The mood of in the exposition is very tense, Moon doesn't want to go to the school and is fighting with her mom on letting her stay with her. Their tone is very calm yet, they're are still fighting.

Thoughts On Animal Testing

I think all animals should be treated the same, but some of them have different needs. They should be seen has having feelings because they do. But some of them need different need to survive. They should not be tested on him, they is very messed up. They don't have a choice on whether or not they want to be tested on. No they should not test on animals on at! They don't get a choice if they want to be tested on or not. If the drug that is being tested will for sure 100% work and not harm animals, they should test it, but also test it on humans because you don't know if the affect is different to animals than humans.

Mutation Blog Post

I learned that some mutations are harmful, but not all of them. I found that deletion is the most interesting, because it just disappears. I love sketchnoting because I love to draw. I would just wish to have more time, I want to do it faster.
