Literacy History

I first learned my letters when I was in my house. My parents told me about the alphabet and showed what they looked like. No one ever read to me, but I always just looked in books without reading it. I loved it when someone read to me because I was always entertained. My first book I read on my own The Teacher From The Black Lagoon. I never really liked reading on my own because I could never get any words so I just got frustrated and left the book. Eventually I got better at reading because I read many series over and over again and learned many more words.
I first remembered writing my name from my parents. They would hold my hand and guided it to write my name. It made me feel weird because that was my first word to write. I felt very proud about learning to read and write because I knew how to communicate with other people. I felt very happy to go to school because I was going to learn more thing in school.
